Azzurri's Party time in Lygon St

Thousands of Jubilant Italian crammed in Lygon Street this morning to celebrate their long waited World Cup win. Ecstatic chanting, flapping flags, boisterous drum beats and whooping crowds turned this chill winter morning into a Viva Italian world party. I was among them. Rubbing my frigid hands, I embarked the emotional joys brought from such a great tournament. Normal time plus extra time with a brutal penalty shoot out to finish it off, this is a perfect world class tournament worth staying up all night.

Before the soccer fever sparked up, I went to see this burnt the floor contemporary ballroom dance show in crown. A very posh venue, in where you can have your own little table with a dimmy table light to create a dreamy atmosphere. This is not a big production. With 20 or so dancers, they added hip-hop and swanky elements into traditional ballroom dance turn the stage into a modern era. Their swing dance part is the most impressive. Funky moves plus exaggerated hand movements, excited audience from inside out.
