Bush Fire

Wednesday is the worst day of the week. The ecstatic memory of weekend fun has already loomed away while there are a few days of workdays ahead of you. Dull and boring is the precise descriptions of Wednesday soul.

Like a lot of people, my Christmas feast started this week. The 10 courses Lebanese banquet on Monday night was the opening rite. It was a compensation meal from K as the missing ten-day Queensland adventure chic-chased tour. I think he would be better of being kidnapped than coming back and facing 10+ people go after him for his off-track behaviour. The following night, B, Susu and me went for a treat for premium steaks in Steakhouse, which is located in Dockland. Poshed settings, fantastic waterfront views, tasted dishes and mellow red wine made the night enjoyable. The next fete was set on next Wednesday, when I am going to celebrate my Birthday in the Yarra Valley winery.

The iconic image of Christmas is white, but this year, in Australia, we are facing a smoky Christmas. Not from the Aussie BBQ but the furious bushfires that are worsen year after year. Third time in December, we have an extremely hazy day and people who have aspiratory problem are advised to stay indoor. Looking outside, the sky is pink and our surroundings are covered with obscurity. It is as disguising as you can imagine.
